The challenge

Stuck on page 3

The practice had an average Google ranking of 21, roughly page 3, where few searchers ever look. Competitors were outranking it for high-intent searches like "pain management doctor near me," and each location needed visibility in its own local market.

What I did

Strategy and execution

  • Researched keywords: targeted treatment-specific and location-based searches, then tracked keyword performance to guide quarterly blog planning.
  • Tracked performance: monitored organic clicks, impressions, and rankings in Google Search Console and GA4.
  • Built quarterly reports: covered the client's full marketing picture, including new leads, first-time appointments, authority score, AI search visibility, and social media performance.
  • Optimized service pages: added keyword-targeted titles, headers, and meta descriptions, and expanded content to answer common patient questions.
  • Strengthened local search: optimized Google Business Profiles across all five locations, launched monthly posts and updates to keep each profile active, and added a locations page to the site.
  • Fixed technical issues: resolved site speed, indexing errors, and sitemap errors.

Takeaway

Rankings are the start, not the finish

Search visibility puts a brand in front of the right people, but tracking is what shows whether it's working. Measuring first-time appointments next to rankings and clicks let the client see the full path from being found on Google to booking a visit.
